Abstract

This Community Service (PKM) activity was carried out at An-Naas Binjai Private IT Elementary School, North Sumatra, as an effort to improve teacher competency in utilizing educational technology. Based on the results of observations and interviews, it was found that the learning process at the school is still dominated by lecture methods and the use of conventional textbooks, while digital-based learning media such as interactive games have not been optimally utilized. These conditions have resulted in low student motivation and participation in learning activities. This PKM activity aims to provide training to teachers in creating interactive game-based learning media using the Wordwall and Canva Education platforms. The partners in this activity were 20 teachers and educational staff from SD IT An-Naas Binjai. The implementation method included observation, development of training modules, training implementation, hands-on practice, evaluation, and preparation of a final report. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in teachers' ability to create and integrate interactive games into the learning process. Before the training, only a small number of teachers understood digital learning technology, but after the training, all participants were able to design simple interactive games that align with the school's basic curriculum. In addition to improving teacher competency, this activity also had a positive impact on student learning enthusiasm and the quality of learning at the school. This program is expected to be sustainable and can have a positive impact on SD IT An-Naas Binjai through the formation of a school digital media development team.
