Currently, archiving processes are still carried out manually using paper-based media, which creates several problems such as the risk of damage and data loss, difficulties in document retrieval, limited storage space, and slow administrative services to the community. The purpose of this community service activity is to enhance administrative efficiency and strengthen the competence of village officials through the implementation of a digital archive system. The solution offered is the development and implementation of a web-based digital archive application accompanied by training and technical assistance for village officials. The application was developed using CodeIgniter, Bootstrap, and MySQL technologies to ensure user-friendliness, fast access, and structured data management. The implementation methods include needs analysis, system design, application implementation, training, and intensive mentoring. The results show that the digital archive application improved administrative efficiency, accelerated document retrieval, and reduced the risk of archive loss. Moreover, village officials gained increased competence in managing digital archives. Therefore, this system has the potential to serve as a model for other villages in optimizing administrative services through archive digitalization.
2025-10-21T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Munawir Munawir, Irwansyah Irwansyah, Ade Zulkarnain Hasibuan http://www.djournals.com/jpm/article/view/2633 Optimalisasi Pemanfaatan Mesin Pembuat Pelet Multifungsi Sebagai Strategi Peningkatan Produktivitas Kelompok Peternak Ikan 2025-09-03T06:26:42+00:00 Nurjamiyah Nurjamiyah nurjamiyah7@gmail.com Zaharuddin Zaharuddin zaharuddin@unhar.ac.id Din Aswan A. Ritonga din.aswan@gmail.com
Deli Serdang is a regency located in North Sumatra Province. Where one of the villages in Deli Serdang district is Patumbak village. Judging from the resources available in Deli Serdang, especially Patumbak Village has resources that have good potential for developing businesses. One of the businesses is a catfish farming business managed by Mr. Denianto since 2021. Based on the results of the survey that has been carried out, the proposer determines Mr. Denianto's fish farmer group as a partner. The proposer and partners agreed on several problems that have been faced by partners, including that in the production process, farmers still use factory-produced fish feed at around IDR 10,000 / kg, resulting in high production costs. This has an impact on production results, because the price of fish does not change while the price of fish feed continues to rise, so the profit of fish farmers is reduced. If farmers make their own feed, the costs incurred are smaller at around Rp. 6000/kg. This can certainly reduce the cost of expenses and increase the income of farmers. For this reason, a fish feed (pellet) making machine is needed. The high price of the machine is the main reason why partners depend on pellets to feed their livestock. Another problem is that partners do not have sufficient knowledge and skills to make quality independent feed. Another partner problem is that partners do not have access to a broad market to sell independent feed. The objectives of PKM activities are to provide socialization, training and mentoring to partners regarding: 1) making independent feed using a multifunctional machine by utilizing chicken feather waste; 2) making marketing applications so that farmers can sell independent feed to the wider community. The method of implementing the service is to provide socialization, training and mentoring to Maju Ternak Makmur Partners. The targeted results in this Community-Based Empowerment Program are Increased efficiency of the fish feed (pellet) production process with the existence of a more modern fish feed (pellet) making machine in the partner industry, so that fish farmers can make feed independently. In addition, it can also reduce farmers' operational costs, and can produce pellets in larger quantities in a shorter time. More effective product marketing methods, by making product marketing applications in the form of fish feed (pellets) and training in the use of applications as a tool in marketing products that are more clearly effective and efficient. With the training in making feed independently by utilizing chicken feather waste, partners have the knowledge to make better quality fish feed (pellets). So that it will provide an increase in income for farmers, and also improve the quality of organic fish products, reduce production costs, and not pollute the environment.
2025-10-21T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Nurjamiyah Nurjamiyah, Zaharuddin Zaharuddin, Din Aswan A. The main problems include manual production processes that reduce efficiency, poorly organized business management, and conventional marketing systems that have not yet adopted digital technology. To address these challenges, the program applied a digital transformation approach through several implementation methods, including the development of appropriate technology in the form of a stainless-steel mixing machine to improve productivity and hygiene, entrepreneurship training based on creativepreneurship to strengthen business management capacity, and digital marketing through social media and e-commerce platforms. The program also produced innovations such as a web-based Sales Information System (SIP) and an e-commerce platform called “Omah Dumbeg” as tools for online promotion and transactions. The results showed an increase in production capacity from 200 to 300 units per day, a rise in turnover by approximately 10%, and an improvement in digital literacy among group members by 80%. One alternative approach to address these issues is aquaponic therapy, an integrated system of fish farming and hydroponic cultivation that serves not only as a source of nutritious food but also as an environmental therapy medium. This community service program aimed to improve the knowledge, skills, and quality of life of the elderly through aquaponic training and aquaponic therapy at Boarding Care Noor Fatimah, Palembang. The program consisted of two main stages: (1) aquaponic training, including the delivery of basic concepts and hands-on practice in preparing planting media, cultivating water spinach seedlings, and stocking fish fry; and (2) aquaponic therapy, which involved simple activities such as feeding fish, watering plants, harvesting vegetables, and participating in motivational sessions guided by a psychologist. Evaluation was conducted qualitatively through observation and interviews to assess the participation, enthusiasm, and perceptions of both elderly participants and caregivers. The findings indicate that aquaponics training effectively enhanced older adults’ comprehension of the fundamental principles and benefits of the system. Participants demonstrated greater awareness of the importance of maintaining health through healthier dietary practices derived from aquaponic produce. Moreover, aquaponics therapy promoted engagement in light physical activities and nurtured a sense of responsibility in caring for both plants and fish. From an emotional perspective, participants reported increased levels of happiness, satisfaction, and pride, particularly when sharing and consuming the harvest collectively. The main challenges identified were memory limitations and physical constraints of the elderly, as well as limited caregiver availability, which highlighted the need for capacity-building and simplified maintenance systems. Overall, the program not only provided educational and psychosocial benefits but also demonstrated potential to strengthen food security and institutional independence in a sustainable manner.
2025-10-21T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Sari Bema Ramdika, Windi Indah Fajar Ningsih, Erike Septa Prautami http://www.djournals.com/jpm/article/view/2658 Optimalisasi Penggunaan Platform Digital Aktivitas Literasi Berbasis Science, Tecnology, Engeneering, Art, Math (STEAM) Untuk Guru Sekolah Dasar 2025-09-19T01:41:43+00:00 Edi Susanto edisusanto@unib.ac.id Ahmad Asyari ahmadasyhari@unived.ac.id Ike Kurniawati ikekurniawati@unib.ac.id
Implementing the independent curriculum at the elementary school level requires an emphasis on students' thinking skills. Learning is not merely the transfer of knowledge through textbooks, but needs to be designed through activities carried out directly by students. One such activity is through activities to strengthen the Pancasila profile, which are carried out to support student skills. However, the problem is that the activities designed by teachers tend to be entrepreneurial, but still lack a focus on literacy activities that support students' thinking skills. This activity aims to improve teachers' abilities in designing literacy activities and using digital platforms for literacy activities based on Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) in elementary school learning. Partners in this community service activity are elementary school teachers who are members of the KKG GTK Kombel 7, Tebat Karai District, Kepahiang. The target for this activity is 100 teachers and 25 elementary school students. The method of implementation of this activity is through training. The stages of this activity consist of: 1) preparation stage (coordination and socialization, design of STEAM-based literacy activities, and digital platform design), 2) implementation stage (platform use and implementation in class), and 3) evaluation and monitoring stage. The results of this activity are: 1) there was an increase in participants' ability to design STEAM-based literacy activities (score 55 on the pretest and 85 on the posttest), and 2) an increase in participants' ability to use the digital platform for STEAM-based literacy activities, with an average score of 90. In addition, students' responses in learning using literacy activities were, on average, in the high category. As a suggestion, teachers can design literacy activities in various materials for each learning area by integrating surrounding manipulative objects into a digital platform.
2025-10-21T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Edi Susanto, Ahmad Asyari, Ike Kurniawati http://www.djournals.com/jpm/article/view/2698 Optimalisasi Manajemen Pembelajaran Projek Berbasis STEAM-AI untuk Meningkatkan Kreativitas Guru SMP 2025-10-01T07:55:57+00:00 Nita Syahputri nitasyahputri735@gmail.com Triadi Sya'dian syadian@unimed.ac.id Fevi Rahmawati Suwanto fevirahmawati@unimed.ac.id Rahmi Ramadhani rahmiramadhani3@gmail.com Abqoriy Hisan Lahilote abqoriyhisan2@gmail.com Tamama Alvin Niami tamamaalvinniami@gmail.com
Strengthening teachers’ capacity in managing project-based learning is an urgent need in 21st-century education, particularly in the context of integrating STEAM and artificial intelligence (AI). This community service program was implemented to address the challenges faced by teachers at SMP Negeri 14 Binjai, who continue to experience difficulties in managing project-based learning and have yet to fully optimize the integration of creativity and technology. The objective of this activity was to enhance teachers’ competence in designing and implementing innovative STEAM-AI-based learning through a participatory approach. A total of 23 participants, the majority of whom were women of productive age, participated in the entire series of activities, which included training, simulations, group discussions, and pre-post evaluations to measure the level of legal understanding before and after the activity. The results of the implementation showed a significant increase in participant understanding, where more than 90% understood the concept and definition of unregistered marriage, the legal and social consequences it brings, and the rights to maintenance attached to wives and children. In addition, ? 90% of participants showed increased legal awareness, practical skills in identifying and resolving family law problems, and confidence in demanding their rights through legal channels. Participants also gave positive responses to the material, interactive delivery methods, and the mentoring approach that was contextual to their social realities. However, this activity has limitations, such as the coverage area, which only covers one village, the relatively short duration of the intervention, and the unmeasured long-term administrative impact. Thus, this service concludes that PAR-based legal literacy is effective in increasing legal awareness and empowerment of marginalized women and is recommended for replication on a wider scale.
2025-10-30T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Nadiyah Nadiyah, Nahdia Nazmi http://www.djournals.com/jpm/article/view/2689 Pemanfaatan Web Aplikasi Pembelajaran Teintegrasi Artificial Intelligent untuk Meningkatkan Keterlibatan Belajar Siswa 2025-10-01T07:33:40+00:00 Winanti Winanti winanti12@ipem.ac.id Yoga Prihastomo yoga.prihastomo@gmail.com Yulius Denny Prabowo yulius.denny@binus.ac.id Achmad Sidik sidik@global.ac.id Penny Hendriyati pennyhendriyati@gmail.com Muhamad Luthfian diputviean109@gmail.com Rizky Setiawan diputviean109@gmail.com Wardiansyah Wardiansyah wardianyah@gmail.com Latif Palikal Isbah latif@gmail.com
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) technology in education is unavoidable and undeniable. It is a tool that can help teachers and students generate creative and innovative ideas. However, this does not mean that every school is adopting AI technology for various reasons, including teacher concerns about student dependency if continuously using AI. Learning becomes biased and it is impossible to determine whether students' personal results or AI results are the result, so many teachers are still reluctant to use AI. The aging of teachers and poor internet network infrastructure in some schools are among the factors that hinder the use of AI for learning. The purpose of utilizing this AI-integrated learning web application is to assist teachers and students in interactive learning with AI technology so that student engagement in learning continues to increase. The method used in this activity was an interview method with domain experts and potential users. To obtain direct data, focus group discussions (FGDs) and several sharing sessions were conducted through interactive discussions with several teachers, students, and school administrators. In addition, to support this activity, system trials and validation were conducted with teachers and students. The result of this activity is an interactive learning platform named InsanAI. One of the villages in Deli Serdang Regency is Tembung Village. Based on the available resources in Deli Serdang, especially in Tembung Village, there is great potential for business development. One of the businesses in Tembung Village is a laundry service business that was started in 2018 by Mr. Ahmad. Based on the results of a survey that has been conducted, the proponent has designated Mr. Ahmad's laundry business group as a partner. The proponent and the partner have agreed on several issues that have been faced by the partner, including the drying stage, which takes a long time due to limited equipment. Until now, the drying process has been inadequate, still relying on traditional drying methods, namely sunlight. Electric irons use heating elements on metal plates directly. This has many shortcomings, especially in terms of quality. It can damage certain clothes, such as burning or shining clothes. This is usually because the electric iron used is too hot. Thirdly, laundries still use manual record-keeping methods such as notebooks, so that data is not integrated in real time. In general, profit and loss calculations, financial reports, and clothing inventory records are still done on paper. The objectives of this PKM activity are to provide information, training, and assistance to partners on: 1) Making clothes dryers; 2) Making steam-based clothes ironing tools; 3) Creating a Laundry Management Web Application. The targeted outcomes of this Community-Based Empowerment Program are: 1) Increased production process efficiency with the use of drying machines and steam irons, as partners will have the knowledge to use these machines, thereby helping them speed up the drying process and eliminating the need for tedious sun drying. Clothes are ironed faster, neater, and free from the risk of damage; 2) With the laundry management software, partners have knowledge of how to use the application, namely profit and loss calculations, financial reports, and data collection on clothes coming in and out. Scientific articles will be published in the form of accredited journals and publications in online media and videos of Community-Based Empowerment Activities.
2025-10-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Zaharuddin Zaharuddin, Nurjamiyah Nurjamiyah, Edy Syahputra Saragih http://www.djournals.com/jpm/article/view/2715 Dari Keterbatasan Menjadi Kekuatan: Inovasi Ekowisata Berbasis Produk Lokal untuk Transformasi Ekonomi Wanita Disabilitas Di Sumatera Utara 2025-10-16T07:44:41+00:00 Yusrita Yusrita yusrita1@fe.uisu.ac.id Sri Rahayu sri.rahayu@fe.uisu.ac.id Henny Triastuti hennytriastuti2@fe.uisu.ac.id Zenny Riana zenni.riana@fe.uisu.ac.id
This community service program aimed to enhance the entrepreneurial capacity of women with disabilities through local product–based ecotourism innovation in North Sumatra, Indonesia. However, the main challenge faced by MSME players is their low capacity to manage and record finances effectively. Most business owners still use manual recording methods, which risk errors, data loss, and difficulties in analyzing financial conditions. In addition, the lack of separation between business and family finances causes uncertainty in profit and loss calculations and capital planning. The lack of knowledge about the use of digital financial applications is also a significant obstacle. This community service activity aims to empower MSMEs in Bekasi City to move up the ladder through digital innovation in financial recording. The partners in this activity are MSMEs in the Bekasi City area that have not yet implemented a digital recording system. The implementation method includes stages of needs analysis, financial literacy training, assistance in using digital recording applications, and evaluation of the level of understanding through pre-tests and post-tests. The results of the activity show an average increase in understanding and application of digital financial management of 80%. Business owners have become more disciplined in recording transactions, able to separate business and personal finances, and understand profit and loss calculations more accurately. In addition to its economic impact, this activity has also fostered social change in the form of the Bekasi Digital MSME community, which serves as a platform for continuous learning. However, this progress is also accompanied by challenges in the form of low digital religious literacy and weak media ethics from an Islamic perspective. Based on these conditions, the Faculty of Islamic Studies, Islamic University of North Sumatra (FAI-UISU) carried out a Community Service (PkM) activity with the theme "The Qur'an and Technology" at the Al-Muqarribin Tahfiz House, Medan. This activity aims to integrate the values ??of the Qur'an with Islamic digital literacy skills and increase public awareness in utilizing technology productively, ethically, and based on faith. The implementation method uses an educational-participatory approach with four main stages, namely: (1) preparation through coordination and observation of partner needs; (2) planning material with the theme of integrating the Qur'an and technology; (3) implementation of thematic religious studies and interactive discussions; and (4) evaluation based on feedback and observation of participant participation. The activity partner, Rumah Tahfiz Al-Muqarribin, was actively involved from planning through evaluation, demonstrating effective synergy between academics, students, and the community. The activity resulted in a 75% participant participation rate, with a significant increase in understanding of Quranic values ??in the use of technology. Participants demonstrated high enthusiasm for the Quran-based digital learning application and recognized the importance of media ethics in everyday life. Socially, this activity encouraged the community to become intelligent, civilized, and welfare-oriented technology users. Institutionally, this activity strengthened the role of FAI-UISU as a facilitator of the integration of science and religion and opened opportunities for further collaboration in the development of Islamic digital literacy modules. The objective of this activity was to improve air efficiency, overcome labor constraints, and create a more controlled and sustainable nursery and planting system through the application of simple, adaptive agricultural technology. The old greenhouse was used as a nursery area using rockwool as the medium, while the new greenhouse was used for land preparation. The application of drip irrigation in both greenhouses proved to be a solution to limited air, pest attacks, and irregular soil moisture. The results showed that the use of rockwool at the nursery stage combined with drip irrigation was able to maintain stable media humidity, thus supporting more uniform seedling growth. In the new greenhouse, the drip irrigation system resulted in more even air distribution, increased labor efficiency, and more optimal land preparation. In addition to the technical aspects, this activity also succeeded in strengthening community empowerment through the active involvement of the Family Welfare Movement (PKK) women's group and residents in the construction and installation of the system, which resulted in improved technical skills and a stronger sense of ownership. The methods used included literature review, practice-based training, and evaluation, involving 28 students. SDIT Mutiara Ibu aims to equip students with foreign language competencies, both Arabic and English. However, interviews with teachers indicated that students' vocabulary mastery is still limited and the learning methods used tend to be monotonous. Students have not had many learning experiences that integrate foreign vocabulary with real-life contexts, such as saving and simple economic activities. The results of the activity showed significant improvements in students' ability to master Arabic and English vocabulary, their ability to recognize the importance of managing money from an early age, and their mastery of early financial literacy, such as saving. Analysis of participant satisfaction revealed that the majority felt helped by the interactive, relevant, and tailored learning methods. Furthermore, students demonstrated high enthusiasm for the learning activities. Challenges included the duration of the intervention, sample limitations, and the lack of long-term measurement. This program aims to describe the process and outcomes of visual identity enhancement through logo creation and packaging design for MSME partners of PT Kilang Pertamina Internasional Unit III Plaju. The implementation consists of four stages: needs analysis, visual concept design, design implementation, and evaluation based on digital marketing strategies. The results show significant improvements in the professional image of MSME partners, product appeal, and the effective use of digital media for promotion. The developed logo and packaging designs successfully represent the product’s character more consistently and attractively, strengthening the MSMEs’ brand identity. Integration with digital marketing strategies has also expanded market reach and improved competitiveness. Based on the results of observations and interviews, it was found that the learning process at the school is still dominated by lecture methods and the use of conventional textbooks, while digital-based learning media such as interactive games have not been optimally utilized.

These conditions have resulted in low student motivation and participation in learning activities. This PKM activity aims to provide training to teachers in creating interactive game-based learning media using the Wordwall and Canva Education platforms. The partners in this activity were 20 teachers and educational staff from SD IT An-Naas Binjai. The implementation method included observation, development of training modules, training implementation, hands-on practice, evaluation, and preparation of a final report. The results of the activity showed a significant increase in teachers' ability to create and integrate interactive games into the learning process. Before the training, only a small number of teachers understood digital learning technology, but after the training, all participants were able to design simple interactive games that align with the school's basic curriculum. In addition to improving teacher competency, this activity also had a positive impact on student learning enthusiasm and the quality of learning at the school. This program is expected to be sustainable and can have a positive impact on SD IT An-Naas Binjai through the formation of a school digital media development team.
2025-10-31T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Yulia Agustina Dalimunthe, Afrisawati Afrisawati, Fristi Riandari, Ramadhanu Ginting, Rizky Maulidya Afifa
