Abstract

The development of information and communication technology in the digital era has significantly impacted various aspects of society, including marketing activities carried out by micro and small business actors. Digital marketing has become one of the most effective strategies to expand market reach and enhance business competitiveness in the digital era. Through the utilization of digital media, business actors are able to introduce their products to a wider audience and interact directly with consumers in a more effective and efficient manner. However, many home-based business actors, especially in rural areas, still face limitations in utilizing digital media as an optimal marketing tool. Limited knowledge regarding the use of digital platforms, online marketing strategies, and the utilization of social media often becomes a major obstacle in business development and market expansion. Therefore, a community service program was conducted in Toapaya Village, Bintan Regency, with the aim of improving the knowledge and skills of home-based business actors in utilizing digital media as a marketing tool. The implementation method consisted of several stages, including preparation, socialization, training, and evaluation. The results of the activity showed that participants experienced an increase in their understanding of digital marketing strategies and were able to apply them in promoting their products online as well as creating more attractive promotional content to support sustainable business development, with the level of participants’ understanding increasing by approximately 40% based on the evaluation results.
